Fadó is social enterprise based in Waterford City. We aim to keep the story of Waterford alive, visible and tangible through walking tours and live events.
Our mission is to preserve memories of history, heritage, people and traditions. To interpret and bring them to life in a fun and educational way, through interactive events.
The last thousand years has seen our city influenced and shaped by many other cultures, as well as our own. We therefore aim to promote an awareness of and interest in Waterford’s diverse heritage.
Fadó Productions team are passionate about history and heritage and the many ways in which we can animate our rich and diverse past. Our creativity, enthusiasm and commitment to authenticity have ensured our place at the cutting edge of heritage tourism in Ireland.
As regular contributors to Waterford festivals over the past three years- St. Patrick’s Day Festival, Harvest Food Festival and most recently Winterval Christmas Festival along with our educational schools walking tours programme – we continue to grow our business in difficult economic times.
This year we are proud to be associated with composer Eric Sweeney and poet Mark Roper as Fadó Productions facilitates the collaborative schools programme Viking Voices, kindly supported by Waterford City Council.
