UPCOMING CONCERTS 2014:
28th September, PAT COLDRICK, Classical Guitarist
Music at the Museum is delighted to present classical guitarist Pat Coldrick for the popular lunchtime concert series on Sunday 28th September. Pat’s extensive repertoire covers music from Spain, Latin America and Ireland and includes Baroque and Medieval styles with some clever arrangements of popular songs from The Beatles, Mason Williams and Scot Joplin. His latest album ‘Cayendo’ is out now and available from iTunes. It includes some original compositions and arrangements along with some of the great guitar master pieces such as “Asturias” by Albeniz and “Danza Paraquaya No. 1” by Barrios.
Pat Coldrick hails from Howth, Co. Dublin. He has been playing and studying Classical guitar since the age of 12. His session work and classical appearances have earned him a reputation as being one of the finest and most versatile guitarists in Ireland. Having studied at the College of Music in Dublin with John Feely, Pat has also studied with world renowned guitarists “David Russell” and “Gabriel Esterellas”. He has achieved acclaim for his unique sensitive and expressive style of playing and, with a solid technique, has a full command of the instrument. He has appeared on National Radio and T.V. and looks forward to his first concert at the Medieval Museum in Waterford.
